PRODIS - a nationwide network that works to prevent and reduce the use of anabolic androgenic steroids and other doping substances.
PRODIS was founded in 2008 on the initiative of STAD. Initially the network included Stockholm County, Kalmar Municipality, Linnaeus University and Malmö City. In 2009 the network was expanded with Norrbotten County, Kronoberg County and the Doping Hotline. In 2011 STAD received an assignment by the then National Institute of Public Health to coordinate the network and it expanded further to include Västernorrlands County, Värmland, Örebro County, Östergötlands County and Kungsbacka Municipality.
Over the years the network has existed, the number of municipalities and counties in the network expanded constantly and the ambition for PRODIS in the coming years is to get all counties and the municipalities involved in the network.
The PRODIS network has in recent years evolved and gone from being a project to become a major national development program for how the problem of doping in society is to be handled beyond the organizations and authorities limits, to the benefit of both the individual and for society.
Prodis work is coordinated by STAD. For more information about the network, please visit the website www.prodis.se
